Lake of The Woods

This past labor day, we ventured all the way up north to the Lake of the Woods to visit grandpa Ed. It had been 2 years since we were there last! We fished, hung out, played Cribbage and just enjoyed time with family. It was a long drive (8 hours) but the kids did well and we had a fun time. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Burke fell asleep on the boat! We had to make him a mini-bed, where he napped, happily, for about an hour!

Overall, we had a great time.

15 Months

Happy (late) 15 months Burke!!!

This is a recent pic of Burke taken the other day. My, how he has grown. At his 15 month appt, he was 21.3 pounds and 30.5 inches tall. He's still small for his age, but he fits in great with all his toddler friends at daycare.
He is so independent now and is full-time in the toddler room as of Monday. He's eating with utinsils, climbing, talking more and more every day and walking (running) everywhere! He even takes naps on the cots at daycare- there are no cribs in the toddler room. :) He says "mama, dada, Ma (for Max), Nuk, no, night night, car, ball, all done and more that I can't remember. Seems now he learns a new word every day.
He has to be near his brother all the time and along with the brotherly love comes the sibling rivalry I guess. They now will fight over toys, food, etc. It can get tense, but I wouldn't change a thing. They adore each other. I can't believe he's already 15 months. I am so happy to watch him grow up and become a boy, but it makes me sad that time has gone so quickly. I can't even think about the fact that in a year, we will be sending Brayden off to school. UGH. We're just trying to make great memories for the kids now and in the future as a family. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings....I love myboys! :)
