5 years ago today we became parents and had no idea what an impact this little boy would have on our lives. He has made it so much better in every way. Happy 5th Birthday Brayden!!!! We love you!!!!!

Lake of the Woods 2010

This past week we took the LONG hike up to Lake of the Woods to visit Grandpa ED, or "Grandpa Snowpants" as Brayden has always called him. Here are a few pics from our trip.

Birthday Recap

Burke started his birthday celebration on Wednesday, the day before his 2nd birthday by bringing Nemo cupcakes to his class at daycare. I don't have any pictures from this (yet) but will post when I get the camera developed.

Thursday, the 22nd (his actual b-day), Steve and I took the day off to spend some family time with the kids. First Burke had his 2 year appt (BORING!...he weighed in at 25lbs and 33" (about 20% and 16%, respectively. Still a peanut, but quite healthy I might add. He was quite the character at the Dr. He loves to see the kids and we love to see and visit with our pediatrician as well. he found Burke's animal noises very amusing...among other things...)

Then, it was time for fun. So, we went to MOA for some rides. The kids loved this and Burke got to ride for free because it was his birthday!

Then, we went to Buca for dinner. Per Brayden's request, we sat at the "kitchen table". It was super fun! We got free mashed potatoes and got treated like royalty. It was a blast.

Then he went home and he opened his presents. He got an outdoor bowling set:

He loved opening his presents and he got so many wonderful gifts from family and friends. He is a VERY lucky little guy.

We had a great couple days. I still can't believe he is already two. I'm excited to see what kind of a person he ends up to be, but a WEE bit sad that my baby is growing up. He's a great little boy and we love him so much. Happy Birthday Baby!
