Christmas Shirts

How adorable are these shirts?! The pictures don't really do them justice- the snowman is actually soft and puffy. I got them through a vendor at etsy.com and I love them!!

Merry Christmas from the Sicklers

We hope everyone has a safe, warm, healthy and happy holiday!!!

December Pics

Just a few pics I have taken over the last few weeks. We're good- nothing to report. Brayden is still consumed with hockey 3-4 days a week, Burke is still climbing and running and into everything. Things are chaotic at times, but they are so much fun right now! :) We can't wait for Christmas to celebrate with the kids in a few days. Hopefully we don't get snowed in too bad! I'll post again with some Christmas pics. :)

Santa

Tonight we went to Macy's and the kids met Santa. We only waited about 10 minutes so it wasn't too bad. Burke was a little unsure, but did fine. Brayden of course wanted "toy nerf guns", but Santa told him that he doesn't bring guns so then he said his usual, "motorcycles" and also a "Zhu Zhu pet". Happy Holidays!

Cancun, Mexico

This past week we spent in Cancun, Mexico as a family. We all loved it- the weather was HOT, the food (and drinks) were nonstop, and they had so much stuff for the kids to do. Here are a few pictures of our trip- I think it's safe to stay, we'll definetly be back!!

Us, on the way home.
At the airport, watching the planes.
Playing in the pool.
The Family.
Brayden, at the Mexican Restaurant.
At the kid's club waterpark- Brayden LOVED this.
Playing makes you tired!
The boys.
On our balcony- day 1.
At the Kid's club.
View from our hotel room.
The trip was wonderful! I also got a bunch of pics of the kids playing in the waves on the beach, but they are on the water camera and I have to get them developed yet. I will post some later.

Burke- 18 months

Burke turned 18 months old recently. I can't believe it! Seems like just yesterday we brought him home. He's FULL of energy right now and is into everything and the tantrums are full blown now. This is some serious stuff, folks!! What else is he into at 18 months?...
  • He loves Blues Clues. Last night he woke up at 3am crying and when I went into his room to calm him down, he asked, calmly, "Boo Coos?!"
  • He loves "the guy"- this scary Halloween bowl Steve bought and won't leave it. (in the video) Every day when we get home, he runs to the office and says "guy?!"
  • He's getting 4 teeth right now, which has contributed to some of these over the top tantrums. (or at least I hope) The other day, he screamed for about 12 minutes just because I wouldn't let him write on my chest with a pen, after he had written all over himself (think wrists, hands, ears, face, feet...etc.). He also melted down that I wouldn't allow him to continue sticking Q-tips in his ears, that he couldn't walk around with a scissors, and also when I wouldn't let him write on the computer screen with pen. I know, I AM SO MEAN!
  • He's talking so much right now and LOVES to sing "Twinkle Twinkle".
  • He's a climber. Climbs everything. Also, stacks things for a height advantage. His daycare teacher says he stacks toys and then climbs them to get to his cubby, which houses his nuk and blankie. (that they normally only get at naptime). Gotta watch him like a hawk.
  • He loves to take his diaper off and run around naked. Main reason he spends most days in a "onesie".
  • He loves his "nuk", his "beekie" (blankie) and his "Baybay" (Brayden).
  • He LOVES Yo Baby Organic liquid Yogart- I think we go through about 12 bottles a week.
  • He's obsessed with the X-mas tree. Every ornament from his height down, is now officially off.
  • He has a contagious giggle and a BIG heart. He thinks it's really funny to bonk heads with you.
  • He knows his body parts and when you ask where they are, he points to them. It's very cute!
  • He's still a peanut. Weighed in at 22lbs, 4oz (8%) at his 18 month appt. He may be a peanut, but he's the cutest peanut I've ever seen!

What would we do without our "Burkie Turkey"? We'd be lost. We love him to pieces. Happy 18 months Burke!! Enjoy the Video.

I tried to upload a much longer and cuter one (where Burke sings Twinkle Twinkle and points out his body parts: eyes, teeth, toes, etc) but I think it was too big and it wouldn't load, so this is what I could do:

Mini Mites

This weekend marked the beginning of Mini Mites (Hockey) for Brayden. He's wanted to do it for so long so we started him this year. He's been in regular skating lessons for over a year, but this was a totally different situation for him and outside of his little comfort zone he's been in the last year with skating. There was some apprehension, shyness, and a few tears the first day. Day two was better- he only came to give mommy a hug once, and then went back out on the ice with the coach when the balls came out that they could shoot at the nets. The coaches were great with him (and others). They were all little 4-6 year olds and they all looked so cute!!! He enjoyed it more the second day and now will not stop talking about it!! Here are a few pictures I took today, bright and early...he had to be there by 7am today. Whew. Good thing we don't get any sleep in the Sickler house anyways! :) ENJOY.
