9 Months

Burke turned 9 months old on the 22nd of this month!! He is such a fun little guy to have around. At his 9 month appt, he weighed 17 lbs, 11 oz and was 27.75" long. He is crawling like a mad man and still gets into EVERYTHING- as you can see in the pics. He giggles and smiles all the time and he now says "dada" and an occasional "mama" and "baba". He has done some free standing for a few seconds at a time, and does some walking along furniture, etc. Shouldn't be long now until he is walking on his own. Overall, he is doing wonderfully and we love having him in our family. Happy 9 months Burke- we love you!!

Three and a half...

That's how old our big guy, Brayden is. It's hard to believe that almost 4 years have passed since he joined our family, time goes by so fast. He is growing and learning more and more every day. He amazes us with his knowledge. He is so animated right now and he is tons of fun. He LOVES his little brother and other "babies", like his friend Ben, who he checks on daily at daycare while dropping his brother off in the "baby room."

He loves to play doctor with his play doctor kit, and check your blood pressure and "give shots." You see his little patient on New Years Eve...
He loves to be silly and make us laugh...

He loves to play sports, go to school and be with his friends. Here he is in his new soccer outfit. This season, he's in soccer and skating (hockey).
And, he loves his buddy, Max, and Max loves him. Well, most of the time.
Overall, the last three and a half years have been the best of our lives and we can't wait to watch Brayden grow and learn even more.

Christmas

Ok, so this entry is LONG over due. I FINALLY figured out how to load our pictures from the USB cable onto the computer. So, here's our Christmas entry.... :-) We started our X-mas on the 23rd this year- Santa came that night. As we were leaving to go out of town on the 25th, we wanted to ensure that the kids could enjoy their X-mas without having to leave right away. So, Santa had come and all the presents were there on the 24th when the kids woke up. Brayden was super excited. Before Christmas, all he kept saying he wanted was a motorcycle that "he could ride." Burke didn't want much, but both boys were very spoiled this year.

After we opened our gifts, we went to my mom's for X-mas dinner. we had a great time with Grandma and Uncle Eddie and Jaimee.

Then, we drove to the Sicklers and spent a few days with them. It was so nice to see everyone. We were able to spend some time with Grandma and Papa and Aunt Sheryl and her family and Aunt Steph and Cam.
Burke had many revelations this trip. One was that he can now put his foot in his mouth and suck it. Gee, I believe Ben Pace also had this revelation over X-mas. What are they teaching in the infant room at Kindercare?!? :-)

And, Brayden learned that he can carry his little brother everywhere when Mommy's not looking... he can be such a sneaky big brother.
Brayden got very sick of all the pictures mommy insisted on taking....
Burke also realized that he loves baths. He always enjoyed his bath, but here is where he realized that he can move around in the tub, and not just lay in one spot. Oh, how fun bath time is now.

Overall, we had a great Christmas. We can't wait to see what 2009 brings for us! We hope everyone had a great holiday as well.
